Central Park
No hiking for a while now :(. Brandon and Dom came to the city for Labor Day weekend. We stayed in a hotel right off of Times Square with 2 Starbucks within a few blocks. Gotta love the 'bucks! We had a great time at the US Open watching Dom's friends win their match (they were the #1 seed women's doubles team and VERY good). We ate at 2 great pizza restaurants, 1 of which I have eaten at before and still say it is the best pizza I have ever had. Ironically, this was not John's Pizzeria which we ate at on Monday and which has been voted best pizza in Manhattan. It was good, but the pizza at Pomodoro's in Little Italy is the best in my mind....good combination of vodka sauce and fresh mozzarella.
I may not be hiking for the next little while (much to the pups' disappointment) as I am trying to get ready for the 100 mile MS bike ride in 2 weeks and the NY marathon in 6 weeks. I'll probably end up crippled after the marathon, but I should be able to handle the bike ride :). Needless to say, I am spending my days off "puttin' in the miles".
Geaux Tigers and Geaux Saints this weekend!!
